Ross on Cavs: 'We don't feel like we have anything to fear'

Most players would be too humbled to speak after being smacked by 31 in a playoff game, but Terrence Ross piped up for the Toronto Raptors when nobody else would.

In the wake of a 115-84 embarrassment at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto's backup shooting guard remained confident.

"We beat them (twice in the regular season), so we don't feel like we have anything to fear like they're a super team or anything," Ross told Chris Haynes of cleveland.com. "But we're just going out there to play our game and compete."

The Raptors took a pair of narrow victories from the Cavaliers in the regular season on their home court. In their two visits to the Quicken Loans Arena, however, the Raptors have lost by a combined 53 points including Tuesday's shellacking.

Ross managed four points on 1-of-5 shooting in Game 1, and was a minus-23 in 19 minutes. The best recourse after such a lopsided affair might have been to praise the Cavaliers, or to say nothing, rather than downplaying their status as a super team.

After all, pretty much any team with LeBron James should be considered a "super team," given he's on the cusp of making his sixth straight Finals appearance.
