Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Officially out for Game 6

Whiteside (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's Game 6 tilt with the Raptors, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports.

Analysis:

Given that coach Erik Spoelstra indicated Thursday that Whiteside hasn't made much notable progress in his recovery from the right MCL sprain, it's not overly surprising that he'll miss his third straight game of the series. Amar'e Stoudemire is expected to start at center in Whiteside's place, and reserves Josh McRoberts and Udonis Haslem will also be forced to pick up some extra minutes in his stead.
