Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Continues to battle sprain in his right knee

Whiteside (knee) isn't expected to play in Friday's Game 6 against the Raptors, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Analysis:

Coach Erik Spoelstra said Thursday that there's no new developments in Whiteside's recovery from a right MCL sprain, as he's yet to do any on-court work since suffering the injury in Game 3. He's missed the last two contests and doesn't look like he'll be able to suit up for the remainder of the series, if not longer should the Heat advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. With Whiteside sidelined, Amar'e Stoudemire figures to start at center, though he played just three minutes in Wednesday's Game 5 loss. Instead, backup big man Josh McRoberts, who played 18 minutes in that contest, may be the primary beneficiary.
