Raptors' DeMarre Carroll: Leaves with wrist contusion

Carroll suffered a left wrist contusion in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Heat and won't return.

Analysis:

The extent of Carroll's injury won't be known until the team's medical staff gets a full look at him, but the good news is the initial X-rays came back negative. Carroll finished Wednesday's game with six points (1-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and an assist in 26 minutes. Expected his status to be updated prior to Friday's Game 6. The Raptors have been ravaged by injuries this postseason, as the team is without Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) for at least the remainder of the series, and the backcourt tandem of DeMar DeRozan (thumb) and Kyle Lowry (elbow) have both played through their respective ailments with limited effectiveness.
