Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Unlikely to play in Game 5

Coach Erik Spoelstra said that it remains unclear if Whiteside (knee), who has already been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 tilt with the Raptors, "has any mobility basketball-wise," Jason Liser of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Analysis:

Whiteside is set to miss his second straight game with what is believed to be a first-degree MCL sprain, which he first suffered in the Game 3 loss. Spoelstra's grave comments about Whiteside's injury would seem to suggest that the big man won't be available for the rest of the playoff series, though the Heat have yet to make a definitive ruling and continue to evaluate him on a day-to-day basis. In any event, Amar'e Stoudemire is in line to make his second straight start Wednesday, and Josh McRoberts, Udonis Haslem, and Justise Winslow may also be asked to pick up extra minutes with Whiteside out.
