Warriors' Andre Iguodala: Picks up scoring in Game 2 win

Iguodala scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals across 32 minutes in Tuesday's 110-99 Game 2 win over the Trail Blazers.

Analysis:

Whenever the Warriors are without Stephen Curry, who missed Game 2 with a knee injury, it usually takes a village to replace his scoring. Though Klay Thompson and/or Draymond Green typically shoulder most of the scoring burden, both were cold from the field for much of the night, so the Warriors had to go deeper down the bench and turn to Iguodala. While Iguodala best serves as an elite defender who provides some non-scoring stats, he's certainly capable of taking on more of a role on offense when the team needs him, as he showcased Tuesday. If Curry returns for Saturday's Game 3, then Iguodala will be thrust back into his normal role as a defense-first player.
