Warriors' Klay Thompson: Helps in Game 2 comeback win

Thompson scored a team-high 27 points (7-20 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 8-8 FT) to go with three rebounds and three assists in Tuesday's 110-99 win over the Trail Blazers in Game 2.

Analysis:

Thompson was cold for much of the night, but showed up with 10 points in the fourth quarter, which began with the Warriors trailing by 11. Playing without Stephen Curry (knee) for a third straight game, the Warriors more heavily relied on Thompson to pick up the scoring. He's capable of handling the scoring burden -- as he did in Game 1 when he scored 37 points -- but his shot wasn't falling consistently through the first three quarters. There are three days off before Saturday's Game 3, and the Warriors are hopeful that Curry could play in that contest, which would likely result in a decreased workload for Thompson.
