Irving scored 21 points (8-18 FG, 2-2 FT, 3-5 3 Pt) and added eight rebounds, two blocks, a rebound, and a steal in 34 minutes during Monday's Game 1 win over the Hawks.

Analysis:

Irving continued the aggressive offensive play he exhibited in the Cavs' first-round series sweep of the Pistons, putting up at least 18 shot attempts for the fifth time in five postseason games. In addition to carrying the scoring load for the Cavs by averaging 26.2 points and 3.8 three-pointers on 46.7 percent shooting from the field, Irving has been careful with the ball, turning the ball over only 1.6 times per game.
