Rockets' Sam Dekker: Will not undergo offseason back surgery
Dekker (back) isn't expected to require offseason surgery, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
The rookie had a disappointing season while dealing with recurring back issues that limited him to just three appearances. The fact that he won't need a second surgery on his back is certainty good news, but even good health for the 2016-17 season doesn't guarantee Dekker playing time with fellow wings Trevor Ariza, Corey Brewer, and K.J. McDaniels already under contract for next season.
