Warriors' Stephen Curry: Expected to shoot around Monday

Coach Steve Kerr told the media Monday that Curry (knee) won't play in Tuesday's Game 2 against the Trail Blazers, Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Kerr said the team will officially list Curry as doubtful "just to give people something to chew on," but don't expect to see the point guard until Saturday's Game 3 at the earliest. Curry didn't take part in practice Monday morning, but is expected to do some shooting later in the day, according to Ethan Strauss of ESPN.com. If that activity goes well, Curry could be cleared to participate in scrimmage work later in the week.
