Heat's Richardson playing through shoulder injury in Game 7

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat have Josh Richardson in uniform for Game 7 against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, despite the rookie guard nursing a left shoulder strain.

Richardson suffered the injury when he collided with Hornets big man Cody Zeller in the waning moments of Miami's Game 6 win, and was initially listed as questionable for Sunday's do-or-die contest.

The 22-year-old has averaged seven points, 3.5 rebounds, two assists, and one block through the first six games of the series, and his on-ball defense and 3-point shooting have been tremendous boons to Miami's bench. Despite Richardson shooting just 33.3 percent from the field, the Heat have been 7.2 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor in the playoffs.
