Hawes has been ruled out for at least one week after an MRI on Thursday revealed a right MCL sprain.

Analysis:

Fortunately the Hornets have the upper hand in their current series with the Heat, leading 3-2, but Hawes won't be able to return to the court until a potential Round 2 matchup with either the Raptors or Pacers. Either way, Hawes has an ancillary role with the Hornets while playing behind Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky, Cody Zeller, and Al Jefferson.
