Report: Kings to interview Nate McMillan, Elston Turner

The Sacramento Kings are looking under every rock for their next head coach.

A pair of assistants have been added to the growing list of candidates. CSN's Vincent Goodwill reports the Kings requested permission to speak with Indiana Pacers assistant Nate McMillan, while Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee notes the team will also interview Memphis Grizzlies assistant Elston Turner.

McMillan is still wrapped up in a playoff series, so he will be granted permission to meet with the Kings after Indiana's postseason run is over. The Pacers trail 3-2 against the Toronto Raptors, so a resolution could come as soon as Friday.

The 51-year-old McMillan has 12 years of coaching experience split between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle SuperSonics. His teams won 51.2 percent of the 930 games he coached, and qualified for the postseason five times.

Turner has served as an assistant for the past decade. He was a finalist for the Trail Blazers' head coaching vacancy in 2013 that was ultimately filled by Terry Stotts.
