Thibodeau hoping to convert Obama to Timberwolves fan

Jason Reed / USA TODAY Sports

When Tom Thibodeau was let go by the Chicago Bulls last summer, United States President Barack Obama tweeted that it wouldn't be long until he landed on his feet.

Eleven months later, Thibodeau agreed to become the president and head coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and is hoping he can sway the POTUS' hometown allegiances.

"We're going to have to swing him over from Chicago to Minneapolis," Thibodeau told Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.
