Acy will decline his option to return to the Kings for the 2016-17 season and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, Sam Amick of USA Today reports.

Analysis:

Acy could opt in for $1.05 million next season, but after a rough season with a volatile Kings team that put up a sub-.500 record for the 10th season in a row, he seems content explore other options on the open market. At 25 years old, Acy is still relatively young and could have better luck with a more established team, though it would likely result in an even more reduced role after he started in 29 of his 59 games with the Kings this past season, averaging 5.2 points (on 55.6% shooting) and 3.2 rebounds in 14.8 minutes.
