Exum (knee) has started sprinting, but isn't expected to participate in the NBA Summer League with the Jazz, Jody Genessy of Deseret News reports.

Analysis:

Exum is progressing in his rehab and has most recently begun sprinting after missing the entire 2015-16 season with a torn left ACL. He'll start to take contact in June, which is the next step in his recovery. With that being said, Exum will not participate in the NBA Summer League, but still hopes to be ready for training camp, which usually begins at the end of September. Exum is expected to be the Jazz's long-term solution at point guard, so as soon as he's healthy, he'll look to take over as the starter.
