On the verge of making history, the Golden State Warriors aren't losing track of the bigger picture.

The Warriors wrap up the regular season against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, when they'll have a chance to become the first team in NBA history to record a 73-win season.

"I got to pinch myself when I think about it every time," Warriors guard Klay Thompson told reporters. "Possibly 73, it's unbelievable. ... It'd be a special feat. We've got to embrace it tonight. You might not ever see this opportunity ever again."

Golden State moved into a tie with the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls with its 72nd win of the season Sunday, knocking off the San Antonio Spurs.

While the record would hold heavy significance to many on the Warriors, they've remained adamant throughout the chase that the main goal is to win a second consecutive championship. Should they be successful Wednesday, don't expect to see much celebrating.

"You've got to save that till June, man," Thompson said. "I mean, you might have a glass of wine after the game, but that's about it.

"We'd enjoy it for a couple nights, and then the real season starts."
