Anderson (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Wednesday's season finale against the Timberwolves, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Anderson will finish his season having missed the last 14 games to a sports hernia that will more than likely require offseason surgery. Any operation likely wouldn't affect Anderson's availability for the start of the 2016-17 campaign, nor should it hurt his standing as a sought-after free agent as he hits the open market this summer. The power forward was an effective weapon off the bench for the Pelicans for much of the season, averaging 17 points (on 42.7% shooting), six rebounds, two treys, and 1.1 assists across 30.4 minutes in his 66 appearances.
