Redick (heel) will sit out Wednesday's regular season finale against the Suns, Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

The Clippers were likely planning to rest Redick anyway for the second half of the back-to-back set, but after the shooting guard bruised his heel in Tuesday's win over the Grizzlies, giving him Wednesday's game off seemed like an even better idea. It's not believed that his injury is significant, so the expectation is that Redick will reclaim his spot in the starting lineup when the playoffs begin over the weekend. With fellow backcourt starter Chris Paul (rest) and sixth man Jamal Crawford (rest) also missing Wednesday's game, look for Austin Rivers, Pablo Prigioni, C.J. Wilcox, and perhaps Wesley Johnson to cover all the minutes in the backcourt.
