Paul (rest) won't play in Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Suns, Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Paul wrapped up his regular season Tuesday with his 38th double-double as the Clippers thrashed the Grizzlies by a 110-84 count thanks to the point guard's 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 assists, two boards, and two steals over 27 minutes. The Clippers have been locked into the fourth seed in the Western Conference for a while now, so coach Doc Rivers has been able to rest his stars liberally down the stretch. Paul will be out for the third time in the club's last eight games, and played more than 30 minutes on only two occasions during that span. He should be plenty fresh when the playoffs begin over the weekend. Look for Austin Rivers to get the start at point guard in Wednesday's finale and see 30-plus minutes.
