Kristaps Porzingis (shoulder) has been ruled out for Tuesday's season finale against the Pacers

Porzingis (shoulder) has been ruled out for Tuesday's season finale against the Pacers, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Porzingis will conclude the season with a string of seven straight absences due to a strained right shoulder. With the Knicks well out of playoff contention for the last month, there was little motivation to push the rookie to play through discomfort. The 20-year-old will conclude the year with averages of 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 assists per game in 72 contests (all starts).
