Stoudemire (coach's decision) didn't play in Sunday's 118-96 win over the Magic.

Analysis:

Stoudemire was dropped from the starting lineup following a 36-game run on the top unit, as coach Erik Spoelstra handed the starting duties at center back to Hassan Whiteside. The switch wasn't expected to result in a dramatic change in minutes for either player, as Whiteside had been dominating the court time at the position even while coming off the bench, but it was surprising that Stoudemire failed to see the floor Sunday. Now that he's back in a reserve role, Stoudemire may have to vie with Josh McRoberts and Udonis Haslem for a rotation spot.
