Atlanta Hawks power forward Paul Millsap and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns have been named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of April 4-10.

It's just the second time Millsap has won the award, and the first since January 2014. That's because the three-time All-Star has made consistency his calling card, long bringing steady production rather than peaks and valleys. Last week, though, he averaged nearly 16 rebounds across three games, and clinched the week's top honor with a monster 31-point, 16-rebound, five-block, three-assist performance in a crucial win over the Boston Celtics.

Towns, meanwhile, is the first rookie to get a Player of the Week nod since Michael Carter-Williams earned one for the first week of the 2013-14 season. The 20-year-old surefire Rookie of the Year has been named the West's Rookie of the Month for each of the first five calendar months of the season, and is well on his way to completing the season sweep.

For the week, Towns averaged 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks, as the Wolves swept a three-game road trip by beating the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, and, most impressively, the Golden State Warriors.
