Anderson (groin) has been formally ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Anderson will miss his ninth straight game as he continues to nurse a left groin strain. The 33-year-old, who missed the first several months of the season after undergoing ankle surgery in October, said he hopes to play again before the end of the season, but with the Wizards' playoff chances dwindling quickly, it might not make much sense for Anderson to come back with nothing on the line unless he's at full strength.
