Brandon Belt (concussion) passed a concussion test Monday and is expected to join the Giants on the road trip that begins this weekend, the Mercury News' Alex Pavlovic reports.

Analysis:

He hopes to do some baseball work either Monday or in the coming days, and while there is no specific timetable for his return, he will fly to New York for this weekend's series, and if all goes well he could return during the road trip. Meanwhile, Adam Duvall and Mike Morse will continue to get starts at first base in the short term.
