Report: Rockets to trade Robinson, make room for Howard
With Dwight Howard said to be considering a move to Houston, the Rockets are reportedly looking to trade power forward Thomas Robinson to clear enough cap space to accommodate Howard, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Citing league sources, the report states that Houston has told other teams they will accept the best offer for the 22-year-old big man.
Robinson, who was drafted fifth overall by the Kings last June before being traded to Houston in February, averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per game as a rookie.
Robinson is set to earn more than $3.5 million in 2013-14. Howard, who had a down year by his standards as he worked his way back from off-season back surgery, will surely command a maximum salary contract on the free agent market.
