Slovenia routs Australia to reach quarterfinals
Istanbul, Turkey (Sports Network) - Jaka Lakovic scored 19 points in Slovenia's 87-58 rout of Australia to reach the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIBA World Championships.
Primoz Brezec added 12 points for Slovenia, which will play either Turkey or France in the next round on Wednesday. Goran Dragic had 10 points, while Miha Zupan, Uros Slokar and Sani Becirovic each had eight in the win.
Patrick Mills and Joseph Ingles each scored 13 points for Australia, which was 3-2 in group play. Matthew Nielsen added 12 points in a losing cause.
