Bynum "not close" to returning

Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum is "not close" to returning according to 76ers head coach Doug Collins. Collins told ESPN.com that, as a player who hasn't played in nine months, Bynum is not close to playing. Bynum had said earlier in the week that he was close to a return.

Bynum hasn't played all year because of his knee injury after being acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in the off-season. The 76ers are 22-30 this season and currently sit in 9th place in the Eastern Conference.
