Pacers' Granger will return tonight

Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will make his season debut tonight against the Pistons in Detroit after missing the first four months of the season with lingering knee problems, according to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star.

Granger was surprisingly ruled out indefinitely just days before the start of the season and hasn't played since. The Pacers have looked fine without him, however, jumping out to a 34-21 start that sees them sit second in the Eastern Conference. Third-year forward Paul George has emerged as an All-Star in Granger's absence.

The 29-year-old Granger has posted career averages of 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in seven NBA seasons since being drafted 17th overall by Indiana in 2005.
