Hornets send Warrick to Charlotte for Carroll

The New Orleans Hornets have acquired guard Matt Carroll from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for forward Hakim Warrick, according to the team.
Carroll, a 32 year old Notre Dame product, has averaged 6.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in nine NBA seasons. He has made stops in Portland, San Antonio, Charlotte and Dallas.
Warrick is in his seventh season in the NBA; the Bobcats will be his sixth franchise. He has played for Memphis, Milwaukee, Chicago and Phoenix prior to being traded to New Orleans this past offseason. He has averaged 9.5 points and 4.1 rebounds for his career.
