McGrady works out for Spurs, Knicks
Free agent forward Tracy McGrady has worked out with the San Antonio Spurs and has a workout scheduled with the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
McGrady, a 15 year veteran and seven time all-star, is still looking for a contract this upcoming season after playing the 2011-12 season with the Atlanta Hawks. He is coming off of a career low year in production, averaging 5.3 points per game and three rebounds with the Hawks where he averaged 16 minutes a game.
The two-time scoring champion will likely need to make a team out of training camp or head overseas to continue his career, as Wojnarowski indicates in his report.
McGrady has averaged 19.5 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game since entering the NBA as an 18 year old with the Toronto Raptors in 1997.
