Thunder lock up Ibaka with four-year extension

NBA blocks leader Serge Ibaka has agreed to a four-year extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder worth a reported $48 million.
General manager Sam Presti announced Saturday that Ibaka had agreed to a multi-year extension but did not provide details, citing team policy. Yahoo! Sports first reported he deal is for four years and $48 million.
The 22-year-old improved his game this past season, averaging 9.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks while helping the Thunder make an appearance in the NBA Finals. Ibaka also recently played a large role in winning a silver medal with Spain at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Ibaka, who was set to become a free agent next year, is part of a now locked up core that already includes All Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, but Sixth Man of the Year award winner James Harden remains unsigned beyond next season.
