Nuggets re-sign JaVale McGee

JaVale McGee announced he has re-signed with the Denver Nuggets via twitter, tweeting "Just signed with Denver, could not be happier!"

Masai Ujiri, Denver's executive vice president of basketball operations made the announcement Wednesday night. The deal is reportedly worth $44 million over four years.

McGee was traded to Denver in mid-March of last season in the deal that sent fellow centre Nene to Washington. The 24-year-old averaged a career high 11.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks while splitting time between the two teams.

McGee had two huge games against the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs, prompting coach George Karl to say: ``I don't think I've ever coached a guy like this. He has the moves of a 6-6 player.''

Since being selected 18th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft, McGee has averaged 8.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over four seasons with the Wizards and Nuggets.
