Obama picks Dream Team over 2012 team

President Barack Obama was on hand at the Team USA Olympic basketball exhibition game against Brazil on Monday. At halftime Obama weighed in on Team USA's chances in the Olympics, and their comparison to the 1992 Dream Team, in an interview with ESPN.

Obama disagreed with Kobe Bryant's comments that the 2012 team could beat the 1992 team. "I was around in '92, I was a Bulls fan, so I've got to go with the original Dream Team," Obama said. "You know, Kobe's a competitor, so you expect him to do a little trash talking whenever the opportunity arises."

After giving his opinion on the Dream Team, Obama gave his thoughts on the current teams' chances heading into the Olympics in London. "Obviously the talent that we've got at this point is unbelievable," Obama said. "So there's no reason that we shouldn't bring home the gold. We just have to stay focused."

Team USA went on to defeat Brazil by a score of 80-69.
