Report: Kirk Hinrich verbally agrees to sign with Bulls

According to the Chicago Tribune, Kirk Hinrich has verbally agreed to a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls. The deal is believed to be for $3 million per year.

Hinrich was drafted by the Bulls in 2003 with the no.7 pick and spent seven seasons in Chicago before being traded to the Washington Wizards.

Last season, Hinrich averaged 6.6 points per game to go along with 2.8 assists in 48 games for the Atlanta Hawks. The move allows the Bulls some flexibility at the point guard position which was vacated due to the injury to star player Derrick Rose.

The deal cannot be finalized until the NBA moratorium on free agents ends on July 11th.
