Report: Magic, Nelson agree on new contract

The Orlando Magic and point guard Jameer Nelson have reached an agreement on a new three-year contract, according to multiple sources.

Nelson confirmed the agreement via twitter, "Glad to say I've reached an agreement with the Magic... I'm blessed to have the best fans and a great organization supporting me!"

The 30-year-old guard, who was originally a first-round draft pick by the Denver Nuggets in 2004, has played his entire eight-year career with the Magic.

In 57 games this season Nelson averaged 11.9 points, 5.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
