Waiters cancels workouts; likely has 1st-round guarantee

Syracuse Orangeman guard Dion Waiters has cancelled all his scheduled workouts, leading multiple sources to believe he has received a guarantee from a team picking early in the first round, that they will not let him slip past their pick.

Alex kennedy of Hoopsworld said his sources speculated that it was Toronto who had given Waiters the promise with their 8th overall pick, but Bryan Colangelo has gone on record denying that. Other sources believe it is the Phoenix Suns that have given Waiters a promise.

In his 2nd season with Syracuse, Waiters averaged 12.6 ppg, 2.5 apg & 2.3 rpg.
