Bargnani to miss an "extended period"
The Toronto Raptors are anxiously awaiting the return of team-leader Andrea Bargnani, but according to Raptors General Manager Bryan Colangelo he will remain sidelined for an "extended period", reported by the Globe and Mail.
Bargnani has missed 14 games this season, a period in which the Raps have gone 2-12. The 26-year-old was held out of the lineup for six games early in the season with a calf injury. He returned for two games before re-aggravating the calf, forcing him to sit out the last eight.
The injury could not have come at a worse time for Bargnani, as he was averaging a career-high 23.5 points per game.
