Waiters' "out of control" pool party draws ire
Sophomore guard and Philadelphia native Dion Waiters has drawn the ire of residents of Perkasie, Pa., due to a pool party townspeople claimed was out of control.
A video on PhillyBurbs.com shows several town residents complaining about the Aug. 11 party that "involved alcohol and suspected illegal drug use."
Among other complaints, residents took issue with the size of the party (over 700 people), the presence of outsiders ("out-of-towners") and a poor clean-up job:
Hillias and other borough officials noted that there was an abundance of trash left behind by party guests, including empty bottles of alcohol and small baggies indicative of drug use. No hypodermic needles, a rumor many residents had heard, were found in or around the pool, they said.
Waiters could find himself hosting more parties in the future if his Cleveland Cavaliers improve as much as expected. Hopefully he's learned the value of hiring a good clean-up crew.
