Adam Morrison returning to Gonzaga as assistant coach
Former Gonzaga University Bulldogs star Adam Morrison is back where it all started.
After a tumultuous NBA and European basketball career, the 29-year-old has accepted a position as a student assistant with the men`s basketball program. Morrison is said to be completing his bachelors degree while helping out the coaching staff.
Drafted third overall in 2006 by Charlotte, Morrison played 161 games over four seasons, splitting time between the Bobcats and Lakers where he averaged 7.5 points and 1.4 assists. He was a part of a Lakers team that won NBA championships in 2009 and 2010.
Morrison`s career in Europe saw stops with Red Star Belgrade in Serbia and Beskistas Milangaz in Turkey.
In his three seasons with Gonzaga, Morrison averaged 28.1 points while winning the National Player of the Year in 2006.
