When the Chase approaches, teams constantly feel the need to make tweaks and adjustments where they see fit. Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) is the latest team to make changes to their pit crew for Aric Almirola’s No. 43 car.
RPM has decided to combine their best pit crew members from each of their Cup teams (Marcos Ambrose’s No. 9 car and Almirola’s) to form a team for the Chase.
The changes are as follows:
- Rear tire changer: Kyle Power replaces Josh Francos
- Jackman: Kevin Wing replaces Kevin Kramzer
Kramzer and Francos move over to Ambrose’s pit crew beginning this weekend in Chicago.
RPM is doing anything they can to help their Chase cause. As we reported last week, Almirola will participate in Nationwide Series races starting this weekend in an effort to to better prepare himself for the Chase races.
