Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is taking a break from his offseason preparation to drive the pace car at this weekend's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
Olsen received certification for the event Wednesday, with the race scheduled for Saturday.
It isn't the first time in recent memory that the Panthers got involved with NASCAR, as Dale Earnhardt Jr. took linebacker Thomas Davis for a drive last spring.
