Jones responds to Cormier's offer to train Saint Preux

The Jon Jones-Daniel Cormier rivalry will continue unabated, after Cormier offered to train replacement fighter Ovince Saint Preux ahead of UFC 197.

Jones, not one to mince words when it comes to Cormier's manhood, subtweeted about the situation on Monday, dispensing with the pleasantries of an earlier tweet wishing a speedy recovery from injury.

On Friday, Cormier pulled out of a long-awaited rematch with Jones for the light heavyweight title after injuring his leg. He was replaced on short notice with the sixth-ranked Saint Preux.

While Jones says he doesn't question the severity of Cormier's injury, he does believe the current light heavyweight champ is content to hold on the belt a little while longer.

"I believe he's legitimately hurt. I've heard a lot of fans calling him out for being scared and he's a faker and what not. I believe he's hurt but I also believe deep down inside that he's grateful to not be fighting me in three weeks," Jones told Damon Martin of FOX Sports. "I think somewhere deep inside, he's really enjoying the thought of being able to relax, train at his own speed and know that he's still going to be the champ for at least a few more months now. That's how I feel about him.

"I have no animosity towards him but I feel like I'm chasing him a little bit at this point to get back what's mine."
