Welterweight: Mickey Gall def. Mike Jackson via first-round submission (rear-naked choke)

There are no more obstacles between Mickey Gall and CM Punk.

With an enormous opportunity on the line, Gall went right after Mike Jackson and dropped him with a punch across the chin. Gall was expected to have a major advantage on the ground, and he immediately pounced on the wounded Jackson. Just 45 seconds in, Jackson tapped out to a rear-naked choke.

Gall was pulled from the "Dana White: Lookin' for a Fight" reality show, in which the UFC president scours regional promotions to find undiscovered talent. Saturday's win guarantees Gall a shot against Punk in what will be the former WWE champion's debut fight for the UFC.

Featherweight: Alex White def. Artem Lobov via unanimous decision

Artem Lobov is probably still looking for that elusive knockout punch.

The well-traveled Lobov was fighting for the first time since his runner-up finish in the "Ultimate Fighter 22," and came out of his corner fast, as expected. To Alex White's credit, he was not intimidated. White consistently landed strikes against a charging Lobov throughout the fight, sealing each round with timely takedowns.

An increasingly sloppy Lobov was reduced to wildly winging hooks at White. When the final bell rang, he was laid out on his back, exhausted.

With the win, White rebounds from consecutive losses to even his UFC record at 2-2. Meanwhile, Lobov drops to 0-2 - and even his friendship with Conor McGregor might not save him from a pink slip.
