Dong Hyun Kim seeks Demian Maia rematch

A first-round shellacking of late-notice replacement Dominic Waters has Dong Hyun Kim already calling for a higher-profile fight.

Speaking at the UFC Fight Night 79 post-event press conference, Kim sought a rematch with Demian Maia, who defeated him back in July 2012.

"I think that out of all the top 10 that (Maia) would be the easiest to beat," said Kim, according to MMAjunkie.com.

Kim's desire to face the Brazilian grappling wizard stems from the fact that their first encounter at UFC 148 ended in unsatisfying fashion. Immediately after being taken down by Maia, Kim experienced a major muscle spasm that caused the fight to be called off after just 47 seconds.

The South Korean crowd became excited when Kim challenged Maia in an interview following his dominant performance.

Maia faces Gunnar Nelson in December at UFC 194, meaning Kim will have to wait until 2016 for his redemption.
