Henderson edges out Masvidal in final fight of UFC contract

True to form, Benson Henderson found a way to escape UFC Fight Night 79 with a victory.

Henderson and Jorge Masvidal treated the rabid South Korean crowd to 25 minutes of high-level MMA, as both men unleashed excellent combinations on the feet, engaged in mad scrambles, and doled out damage during heavy exchanges in the clinch along the fence.

With neither man holding a clear advantage heading into the "championship rounds," Henderson - as he seemingly always does - found a way to rack up enough points to sway two of three judges, showing off his technically improved striking and preternatural scrambling ability en route to a contentious split-decision victory.

Following the bout - the last one on his current UFC contract - "Bendo" slowly removed his UFC gloves and made a cryptic comment that had twitter abuzz with questions about the former lightweight kingpin's future.
