Yang closes out UFC Fight Night 79 prelims by clubbing Collier
Dongi Yang didn't disappoint his countrymen.
In front of a frenzied crowd packed into the Olympic Park Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea, Yang closed out the prelims of UFC Fight Night 79 with a second-round TKO victory over Jake Collier.
After a spirited back-and-forth opening round in which Collier floored Yang with a heavy right hand, "The Ox" took over in the second stanza, escaping a kneebar before clubbing away with a barrage of punches and hammerfists until referee Herb Dean mercifully stepped in to stop the carnage at 1:50 of the round.
In the opening bout of the prelims, Dominique Steele violently dispatched "Maestro" Dong Hyun Kim with a third-round TKO, turning out Kim's lights with a massive slam and some follow-up coffin nails.
