Holm not talking smack to Rousey: 'I have nothing but respect'

MMA fans looking for a Bethe Correia-esque stream of trash talk to spew out of Holly Holm's mouth before her bout with Ronda Rousey should prepare to be disappointed.

The surprise challenger to Rousey's throne has nothing but respect for the women's bantamweight champion.

"I have no smack talk," Holm told TMZ. "If I have anything to say to Ronda ... I have nothing but respect for her. She's done a lot for this division. She's done a lot of women's MMA fighting in general. She's done a lot for women's sports in general, so nothing but respect."

Holm was expected to square off with Sarah Kaufman before the UFC, foregoing a third bout between Rousey and Miesha Tate, moved her to the front of the queue, announcing the Rousey-Holm bout for UFC 195 in January.

"She's really becoming a well-rounded fighter," Holm, a former world champion boxer, said of Rousey's evolution. "At first (everybody said), 'Oh she's just going to armbar everybody.' I think she's showing everybody that she's got a very well-rounded game."
