Rousey promises 'most devastating loss you've ever seen' for Correia at UFC 190

Somewhere, Ronda Rousey has a collection of arms she's taken from competitors in the women's bantamweight division. Bethe Correia's is next, to hear Rousey tell it, and Saturday's fight at UFC 190 is going to be more vicious than any before it.

"You're not going to be disappointed," Rousey said Friday. "I'm going to give you the best women's title fight you've ever seen, the most devastating loss you've ever seen for Bethe and my best win. I can't wait for tomorrow."

Every one of Rousey's 11 fights has ended the same away, with her opponent tapping out or a referee stepping in to stop a ruthless beating. She's been taken out of the first round once, and her last three fights lasted a combined 96 seconds.

In other words, if Rousey is promising her best work yet, the bar is extremely high.

The trash talk is hardly surprising, as this showdown has been a long time in the making. Correia has knocked off two of Rousey's "Four Horsewomen" and will now try to play Dusty Rhodes to Rousey's Ric Flair. That's not storytelling for the sake of selling pay-per-views, either - things got intense at the weigh-in Friday, and it's clear these two aren't fond of each other.

Correia may have the home crowd on her side - she's Brazilian, and the fight takes place in Rio de Janeiro - but Rousey is usually an overwhelming fan favorite. Rousey is also a 15-to-1 betting favorite, the largest odds she's had for any of her title defenses, despite Correia being an impressive 9-0 herself.

Considering Rousey's track record, Correia's own sterling bout sheet, the palpable disdain between the two, and now Rousey's promise of devastation, this one's probably achieved can't-miss fight status.
