Dana White on Gina Carano negotiations: 'I just don't even know if it can be done'

The months-long negotiation process between the UFC and MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano appear to be in danger of collapsing, per ESPN's Brett Okamoto

At a media event on Thursday, UFC president Dana White was quoted as calling Carano "the hardest human being we've ever dealt with," and blaming the frustrated negotiations on Carano's agents.

"I didn't see it coming," White said. "Dealing with her people, I just don't even know if it can be done."

Carano, who hasn't fought since suffering a first-round TKO to Cris "Cyborg" Justino at a Strikeforce event in August of 2009, is reportedly signed on to appear in the film "Bus 657," alongside Robert De Niro and wrestler Dave Bautista. Filming is expected to begin this fall, per IMDB

White claims to have distanced himself from the negotiations recently, deferring to UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, but he sounds decidedly less optimistic about a deal getting done than he has in the past.

"We've paid insane financial demands (before)," White said. "We've had all the biggest superstars in the world. You're talking about a girl who hasn't fought in a while. Any time you deal with anybody in Hollywood, it's a joke. It's literally a joke. It's comical. You feel like you're in a 'Saturday Night Live' skit."
